Ed Halligan, Knifemakers’ Guild Member, and designer/engineer of CRKT’s sensational K.I.S.S. knife, has created these "Keep It Super Simple" gems the Stiff K.I.S.S. They’re supremely simple fixed blade knives, with lightweight power and the perfect length-to-weight ratio.
Their full-size handles feature a finger index notch for positive draw and grip, and the notch doubles as a guard. Friction grooves on both the top and bottom of the handle provide an additional measure of safety. Four holes in the handle provide lash points in emergency situations and anchors for cord wrapping.
The tough Zytel sheath, a featherweight 1.5 oz., can be worn around the neck with paracord, worn as a boot knife, on the belt, in a jacket pocket, or attached to a harness with a two-position detachable black Teflon plated stainless steel clip. There are six holes and two slots molded into the sheath that permit the knife to be lashed to other gear or various parts of the body. The Zytel belt adapter can be attached to the sheath with black two-piece screw assemblies to allow the knife to be carried above or below the waist and in the small of the back.
These knives are held securely in the sheath by a molded detent. They can be released with a thumb push on the sheath for smooth silent draw, or with a sharp pull. The sheath also has weep holes to keep the knife dry. Paracord, stainless steel clip, Zytel belt adapter, and screws are provided with the sheath.
Whether carried as a primary cutting tool or back-up, they’re ideal for backpacking, climbing, water sports, law enforcement and military use.
As Ed Halligan says, "The Stiff K.I.S.S. is the ideal travel companion, don’t leave home without it. I always carry a Stiff K.I.S.S. because I’m too old to run."
